Clean room (CLEANROOM) means a room that is closed, has control of various substances or particles (PARTICLES) in the air, including temperature control, humidity, sound, light and air pressure in the room, so that the room is clean as standard ( STANDARD) and class (CLASS). Generally, the particle size is indicated by the micron (m) and 1 m = 1x10 ^ -6 in order to create a clear conceptual image. Please see Figure 1. Which is a picture written by the scale From the figure, 1 micron particles can be seen when compared to the average hair size of 59 micron particles. The smallest particles that can spread in the air are 0.5 microns, indicating particles (dust) from the operator. And in each production industry, there will be different (dust) production from the production line And which production has to be controlled? It is widely accepted that the United States is a country that quickly develops the clean room and has the work of developing and researching the cleanest room in one country.

The first clean room was started in England. With an effort to make the operating room clean and free from germs In order to reduce the percentage of infections of patients in the year 1963, the United States issued the Federal Standard 209. Year 1966, developed to the Federal Standard 209B standard and developed into the Federal Standard 209D and E. Of each country standard announced Currently, the standard of FED.209E has been canceled and the ISO. 14644-1 standard is used instead. In order to reduce confusion and be the same standard.
